Summary

Upgrading

  • Upgrading things in the Armory does not require your Villagers, so you can upgrade a building while the Armory is working.
  • The Armory can only perform one upgrade at a time.
  • You cannot upgrade the Armory while the Armory is upgrading something. You must either wait, use Diamonds, or cancel the upgrade that the Armory is performing before you can upgrade the building itself.
    • Similarly, an upgrade cannot be performed while the Armory is upgrading. 

Upgrade Differences

  • Initially, the Armory consists of an open blue Quonset hut with a ventilation unit on the roof and a pair of wooden steps out front. Two sandbag fortifications are visible on either side of the entrance, and several crates of ammunition are stacked to one side of the hut.
  • At level 2, the Armory gets two Machine Guns on the side, as well as gray metal hoops running across the roof. The blue highlights become a little lighter.
  • At level 3, the Armory gains a fan at the top of the roof, windows with metal coverings, an artillery shell on top of the crates, and the machine guns are laid flat. The wooden steps become stone slabs. The roof becomes smooth and gains more gray hoops.
  • At level 6, the Armory gains missiles from the Barrage protruding from an opening on the roof. The two small windows are changed to a large, reinforced window with a small overhang. The machine guns are uprighted again. Finally, the sandbags are removed. The floor becomes stone. Bullets are spread out around the building.

Trivia

  • In the beta version, this building was known as the Combat Academy.
  • When a Troop upgrade finishes while the player's Landing Craft are loaded with the said troop, several of them will get out of the Landing Craft and walk across the island and back.
