*You should place the Boom Mines away from Boom Cannons, as this defence is, ususally (and especially when Tanks are used) the most targeted. This means that if all Boom Mines are placed next to a Boom Cannon, they are most likely to use a Barrage, which can destroy both the Boom Mine AND the Boom Cannon.

*Place (if Boom Mines are sufficient) some Boom Mines next to your Headquarters, in case that the enemy has destroyed the rest of the defences. This way, you are going to furtherly kill some troops, but not all (but at least you will have some more chances of getting some diamonds for killing ENOUGH troops.

*Another good defensive strategy is to place some Boom Mines where you think a Smokey-Warrior offensive strategy is going to be used. This means that the attack will most likely fail.

*If having enough mines of all types, it is a good idea to place one normal mine between two Boom Mines, so that the normal mines cover a bigger area, while the Boom Mine does more damage.

*Boom Mines are effective against Tanks, so place them where you think most Tank Attacks will start.

*Hiding your [[Mine]]s/Boom Mines behind tall [[buildings]] such as [[Sniper Tower]]s can make them a surprise to your attacker and help you win your defense.

"The Boom Mine stops the enemy in their tracks! Its high impact blast is focused in a small area."

Summary

 • Boom Mines are traps that will be triggered when troops are sufficiently close to them.
 • The first Boom Mine is unlocked upon reaching Headquarters level 10.
 • Boom Mines have the same function as normal Mines, but they deal much more damage and have a much smaller radius.
 • Boom Mines deal splash damage within a very small radius.
 • Boom Mines reappear after every attack on your base. You never have to rebuild them.
 • Boom Mines are upgraded using the Armory.
 • Statues will not increase the Boom Mine's damage dealt.
 • Boom Mines have a very short trigger delay.

Offensive Strategy

Defensive Strategy

 • Place Boom Mines away from normal Mines and other Boom Mines, as they are capable of dealing with a group of troops alone.
 • Having some distance between Boom Mines can also prevent attackers from triggering all of them through a Barrage.
 • Hiding your Mines/Boom Mines behind tall buildings such as Sniper Towers can make them a surprise to your attacker and help you win your defense.
 • You can hide your Boom Mines behind Magma statues or any Masterpieces as their heads can hide Boom Mines. It is advised to put behind Magma Masterpieces.
 • They are better against single yet powerful troops such as a Scorcher but very ineffective against a swarm of Riflemen.

Upgrade Differences

 • The Boom Mine does not change appearance when upgraded; the only difference is increased damage.
