"Bunkers allow you to garrison troops in your base. Troops can attack from inside the bunker. Some troops have extended range while in the bunker. The garrison cannot be stunned, taunted or frozen. When the bunker is destroyed, the garrison will leave the bunker and continue fighting."

  • The Bunker is the tenth defense to be unlocked in the game.
  • The Bunker can be unlocked at Headquarters level 26.
  • Unlike any other defense, the Bunker has to be garrisoned by troops. It cannot attack enemy troops on its own.
    • The Scorcher, Tank, Mech and all Prototype Troops cannot be garrisoned.
    • Troops require a set amount of Gold per hour for each Bunker as upkeep. If this is higher than the player's hourly production, they will not be able to garrison their desired troops.
    • Only a limited amount of troops can be garrisoned per Bunker, depending on their own size and the structure's capacity.
    • All Troops are able to fire out of Bunkers, and will emerge after its destruction to continue the fight. As with Mines and all other buildings, they are only lost for the current battle if destroyed, and are automatically replaced in-between at no additional cost.
      • However, Warriors are unable to attack while inside, and the Medic is limited to healing troops from other Bunkers.
    • A range bonus is applied to certain troops. The value is +50% for Riflemen and Heavies, and +20% for Laser Rangers, Cryoneers and Zookas. The bonus persists for them even after the building's destruction.
      • In the case of Laser Rangers and Cryoneers, the range bonus affects their attacking range, but not their maximum beam range.
    • Troops inside the Bunker benefit from any boosts affecting themselves, rather than the Bunker. Ice Statues that boost building health work normally, but those that boost defensive building damage have no effect to the troops, who instead benefit from Magma Statues.
  • The Bunker has an Air Defense percentage that reduces damage from all Gunboat abilities, such as Artillery and Barrage. Additionally, the building itself has immunity to various effects, which are not applied to Troops that exit upon its destruction. They include, but are not limited to:

Troop Selection

A selection of all garrison units.
  • The bunker skims gold from hourly production to fund the troops.
    • If the upkeep is higher than the hourly gold production, the unit cannot be drafted for defense.
    • The hourly gold production refers to both bunkers. So if the upkeep is too high in one bunker, you will most likely not be able to station such good units in the other.
  • On the right side the Player can see the Upkeep cost and the remaining gold for the Bunker.
  • Some Troops are not recommedend for the Bunker:
    • Medics can only heal troops meaning that the other bunker has been destroyed nearby.
    • Warriors can't attack while being garrisoned. They will be able to attack after the bunker is destroyed.
    • Only Riflemen dealing less damage and can easily be taken out after the bunker is destroyed.
  • Troops which are highly recommended for the Bunker:
    • Cryoneer which can slow down attacking troops.
    • Bombardier because they dealing high damage and has a high range.

Offensive Strategy

  • Taking down the Bunker should be highest priority because Cryoneer or Bombardier are a big threat for the Attack.
  • Trying to destroy the Bunker with Gunboat Weapons is not recommend because it suffers less damage.

Defensive Strategy

  • Since the Bunker can't be stunned, taunted, frozen or hacked and get less damage from Gunboat, Bunker can be used offensively.
    • Bunkers placed nearby the Headquarters is extremely helpful against Warrior Attackers.
  • Some Garrison units have higher range then their counterpart allowing the Bunker to take out enemy troops earlier.
  • Bombardiers as Garrison Unit can destroy enemy troops easy thanks to their high range.
  • Cryoneer can slow down troops which can give the defenses more time to deal damage/destroy troops.
  • Place the Bunker behind other Buildings so that the Troops inside can deal damage before the enemy troops reach the Bunker.
  • Even if the Bunker gets destroyed the Garrison Units will continue fighting.

Upgrade Differences

  • At levels 1-3, the Bunker is a mostly cylindrical grey concrete structure with three visible support legs at its base. Team-colored trims are present on its three visible fire ports and a ring up top.
  • At levels 4-6, the Bunker is topped with a dome that takes on its main color with a team-colored circle in the middle. Its support legs are now substantially larger, now reaching the original roof with an arc and separating the only two visible fireports.
  • At level 7, the Bunker's shape undergoes a radical change. It retains its thick roof, and one team-colored trim near its base that covers all sides save for the rear. Its support legs are smaller with bolts securing them and the only visible fireport that wraps its semicircular front end. The aperture in the backside seems to indicate the presence of a rear fireport, and the roof angles down from there.
  • At level 8, the Bunker's roof is extended slightly, and gains a tiny oval dome with a bolted team-colored trim. Said trims now also run through the backside and the rear fireport, the latter also with bolts. The only two visible team-colored support legs cover it from the sides. A number of metal spikes protrude from the ground nearby.


  • The Bunker is the first building immune to stun, Taunt and freeze, as well as the first non-Prototype defense immune to Universal Remote.
  • The Bunker shares notable similarities with the Clan Castle in Clash of Clans in that it can deploy troops to aid in defense. Unlike in Clash of Clans, however, the Bunker's occupants can fire from within, always exit on its destruction, and are automatically replaced between battles with no further requirements from its owner.
  • The Bunker is the only base defense with team-colored elements.
  • Tanks are the only troops excluded from garrisons that can technically fit inside a Bunker.
  • The Bunker is the first building to possess a damage modifier for certain Gunboat Weapons.
  • In friendly matches there is a bug that allows your warriors to one-shot warriors from the bunker.
  • The bunker has 2 entities for the troops garrisoned inside and spawns an additional set of troops upon destruction.
