Summary
- Crystal Critters is a Temporary Gunboat Ability that is occasionally available for players who have an Armory level of 8 or above, and automatically scales to its level.
- Crystal Critters function identically to Dr. Kavan's eponymous ability, spawning a group of their namesake units that seek out and heal friendly troops in their limited lifespan while drawing enemy fire.
- Each use costs 6 more Gunboat Energy than the previous, with a starting cost of 6 Gunboat Energy.
Offensive Strategy
- Able to follow troops everywhere, Crystal Critters can be either used as a distraction or to provide a quick burst of healing. Their significantly higher health mean area defenses will often struggle to take them down, consequently allowing them to shield said troops.
Defensive Strategy
- Not much can be done to fight off Crystal Critters other than strong point defenses, which can either take out the Critters themselves or destroy troops they are attached to, leaving no room for healing.
Upgrade Differences
- There are no visual differences between upgrades. Their numbers increase every 3 levels, except for level 16 onward.

- Crystal Critters are featured as enemies in Squad Busters, another Supercell game.
