"I've copied the most formidable mercenary bases of the Archipelago! You'll never defeat them!"

Summary

  • The Imitation Game is an event that occurs on Fridays in the event cycle. Like the other events, it lasts for 24 hours, appearing at 8 am GMT.
  • It is unlocked by defeating Lt. Hammerman's level 30 base, which in turn requires a level 9 Radar.
  • In this event, Lt. Hammerman pits players against a series of bases chosen from other players' existing ones.

Event

  • The event consists of 7 stages of increasing difficulty, similar to Dr. T's bases, though instead of being randomly generated, they are essentially player bases, and exhibit specific properties:
    • They can have any buildings that a normal Mercenary Base would have, including Prototype Defenses. Any ongoing upgrades are also copied over, such as the base may have fewer defenses available than usual.
    • Statues of all types and sizes can appear on these stages. As such, unlike Dr. T, Ice Statues do not necessarily get stronger, as they're dependent on the base owner's playstyle.
    • The bases that are copied have HQ levels that generally increase as the stages get harder. At stage 1, Hammerman usually has a HQ 10/11 base. At stage 2, it tends to be at 12/13, and the pattern continues.
      • The XP levels of each base are fixed and do not adhere to the actual XP level of its respective player. For instance, the XP level of stage 1 is 8, even though bases at HQ levels 10 and 11 would have a minimum XP level of 21.
  • A total of 8 attacks are given. If a base is not completely destroyed, any damage dealt persists in subsequent attacks, similar to Power Bases and the War Factory.
  • Defeating a stage in the Imitation Game will yield Gold, Wood, Stone and Iron. Magma Power Stones, Intel, Prototype Modules and (if a Prototype Troop is available) Proto Tokens can also be won from each stage.
    • Similar to Dr. T's events, the rewards are based around the amount of Wood, and the Gold reward in this event is 1.5 times that of Wood plus the player's attack cost. Also, the Stone reward is 5/6th that of Wood, and Iron reward is 2/3rd that of Wood.
    • The amount of Wood for the n-th stage is .

Threat

  • Threat is a concept used to indicate the difficulty of the base. The higher the level, the more difficult the base will be.
  • Each time the event starts, players can defeat all 7 Imitation bases to increase their starting threat level by 1.
  • Thus, the next time the event starts, the bases will have a higher threat level than the previous session.
  • The rewards earned from the bases will be correspondingly greater. There is no limit to the base's threat level, but rewards stop increasing after Threat 26.
  • Depending on the threat, the amount of power stones is also increased.

Downgrade threat level

Threat return button

Threat return button

  • Each time the player manages to beat all 7 stages, the threat level increases.
  • However, if the threat level becomes too high, or you do not wish to participate in the leaderboard, you can reduce the threat by 8 level simple by clicking the downgrade button.
  • After reaching threat 34, the downgrade always reduces the threat to level 26.
  • You can only downgrade the Threat as long as the base remains untouched. If you’ve already attacked it, you must destroy it before you’re allowed to reduce the Threat.

Leaderboard

Icon golden imitationGame
  • Similar to the Mystical Monument leaderboard, players can compete for access to a global and regional leaderboard.
  • To access the leaderboard, players must increase their threat level and conquer all seven stages as quickly as possible.

^a is your Attack Cost. It is added to your Gold reward, so it is also increased by Resource Reward Statues.

*There may be certain exceptions to this rule, such as Hammerman copying a HQ20 base on stage 5, but on most events the HQ level will be in this range.
