people on boom beach are always willing to put up a fight with any person. but to limit attackers you should always upgrade your rader as the last thing to upgrade. this is good because then less people will attack you but the bad part is you have less resource bases to collect from and have less islands to produce gold
It is. Upgrading the radar also has the side effect of making you visible to more other players.
I would add a counter argument to the 1st comment saying that the more map you have revealed the more free gems you get. Which can help make the big upgrades later in the game much more achievable.
I concur, upgrading the Radar DOES open you up to other players. Limiting the Radar upgrades is a great strategty to limiting attacks, but it does have the side effect of making your levelling take longer. With a limited map, you have limted resource bases. As you progress you will need to hold more and more resource bases - which for someone with a limited map means about 70-100% of the available bases. This drives competition up too.
having someone attack you allows you to see where your faults are and you can go in and strategically move your defenses around. also uptop when i was reading i actually will agree with the strategy of the corner bases for levels 13-20, ive had mine in a corner set up since level 10 and i have had very few losses. placing your low level base in the center allows someone to attack you from behind. they can run into the forrest and come out and hit you in your weak area. so just be ready to defend the best and dont be afraid to "scout" out other bases to get your own ideas :)
and I concur with upgrading your radar, do it when you've basically concured your map and slowly upgrade for a more advanced gameplay. you will soon see more and more people that you can play against and attack. plus more Lt Hammerman bases you can take out. which may take a while depending on your level.
